Privacy Policy

WebTinker LLC (“we”) runs this website at webtinker.io. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do about it. We have tried to write it in plain language.

Information you give us

If you fill in a form on this site - the contact form, an intake form, or a subscription request - we receive what you typed. That normally means your name, email address, phone number if you supply one, and whatever you wrote in the message. We use it to reply to you and to provide the service you asked about. We do not sell it, and we do not share it with anyone except a service provider that is helping us deliver what you asked for.

Submissions are stored in our own database on Cloudflare’s infrastructure. We keep them while there is an active or prospective working relationship, and then no longer than three years, after which they are deleted.

Cookies and analytics

We use Google Tag Manager, which loads Google Analytics, to understand how this site is used - which pages people read, and roughly where visitors arrive from. These set cookies in your browser and are provided by Google, which means data is processed by Google and may be transferred outside your country.

Nothing is stored on your device until analytics is switched on. Google’s tag manager is fetched on every visit, and it starts with storage switched off, so no analytics cookie is written and no identifier is kept about you while it stays that way. Advertising storage, ad personalisation and ad user data are switched off permanently, everywhere, for everyone.

Where the law requires us to ask first, such as in the UK and the EEA, we ask when you arrive and analytics stays switched off until you choose “Yes, that’s fine”. Elsewhere, including the United States, analytics is switched on without a banner, and you can switch it off whenever you like with theCookie choices button in the footer of every page. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal we treat that as a refusal, everywhere, and we do not ask.

Your choice is kept in your browser’s local storage, so it stays on your own device. The Cookie choices button in the footer reopens it at any time, in either direction, whether or not you were ever shown the banner.

The site sets no advertising cookies and does no cross-site tracking of its own. Cookies strictly required to make the site work - such as a login session on our admin - are not covered by the choice above, because without them the thing you asked for cannot happen.

Server logs

Our host, Cloudflare, records standard request information such as IP address, approximate location, browser type and the page requested. This happens for every website and is used to serve traffic and to block abuse. We do not use those logs to build a profile of you.

Your choices

You can ask us what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email hello@webtinker.io and we will respond within 30 days. You do not need to give a reason, and asking costs you nothing.

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change what we collect or which services we use, we update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant, you will be asked for your cookie choice again, so your answer always matches the question you were asked.
